Ashtanga Yoga Philosophy discussion: The Tristana Method.
At its heart -Ashtanga is about Tristana: breath, bandha and dristhi. Within these three components we find a meticulous practice that allows for deep spiritual expansion and growth -and has nothing to do with the shape of your triangle pose or the depth of your backbend. The tristhana components work together to unlock the physical and energetic body so that we can more clearly see the divine truth within. It is a purification process.

Ashley will lead a discussion on the Tristana Method and how to embody it within your daily asana practice.

Mysore Practice 7:30-9:30am
Strength Workshop 11:00am-1:00pm

Join Ashley for traditional Mysore practice. Please arrive by 7:45am to allow adequate time for focused practice and integrative rest.

After a short break we will resume for a strength workshop focusing on the fundamentals for lifting up, jumping back, handstands and arm balances.
