Midsummer Night’s Dream 6.19.23

And what about you

As if you can’t see yourself covered in mud

And there you stood

Against my rigorous words I’d stowed away so long

Where does the time go?

We ask ourselves rhetorics

While pretending we enjoy it

And you’re still lying

Despite my melancholy mood

summer should be hiding

And I start to wonder if its me

Your slow reproach

a stark reminder

Of my blustering impatience

I’ll never say when

Enough never seems to be enough

Perhaps you see that

You recognize my demons

but you cant seem to

Bring yours out into the fray

Whats the use

Did I ever really mean anything to you?

These patriarchal games

Silencing my name

You’re not the first to try to box me in

I can’t let you win

Will I be forced to rinse this all out in the wash?

Unsteady and unstuck

Our problems vivid reflections of our souls

I know you know

Behind my illusion is a mirror you cant keep clear of

I show you everything that you just love to hate

It must be fate

Your arch enemy coincides with me

But you’re already so deeply lost with me.
